Lazy Sunday

Here I am being lazy on Sunday...

Here is Zoie getting caught with a baby toy (not shown)...

And here is what I really did all day...

She is a great subject, good easy tempered and natural in front of the camera...

Oh I just love it when she is in a smiley mood...

I love her other looks too.

Seriously, my camera melted she was so cute in this one...

Here's looking at you, precious!

Love you Daddy

just one more...

I wonder...

I wonder if she will ever wish there were more baby pictures of her.

You know, in redonkulously cute little costumes and dress ups that she can look back on and laugh...

I can't keep my mind or my eyes or my mouth off of her.

She is seriously the most delicious little morsel ever.

EVER!

Oh all the preciousness that is a pretty little princess miss...

Seriously!

Precious little Princess Miss Angel Pants.

Are those wings?

Just another magic Monday...

Before we put away all the Easter stuff, we just had to have one more photo shoot.

We sure are missing Daddy. Here we are talking about how cool it is that he will be home tomorrow.

My Little Bunny...

She's SO funny!

We are starting to really like the tripod.
Thanks Gram!

I know what you are thinking, and yes.

It is hard to stand all this cuteness...

Pllllbblbbbtthhhhhh

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everybody!

We started celebrating early, and what a great Easter it has been already!

We began our preparations for Easter earlier this week with a little photo shoot. Oh the preciousness that went down that day!

Here is Madelyn in her Easter hat with all her Easter friends.

She wasn't in the smiliest mood, and I don't blame her. She doesn't like getting dressed in the first place and with its little long sleeve button up undershirt and button up duster, this was the most complicated outfit she has put on so far.

And then with the bow and the hat, we were lucky to get any good pictures at all.

I like this one.

I call it, " Eat the Bunny".

Then we had Easter on Saturday because Dad had to run to Toronto early Sunday. The Easter Bunny came and everything. It was pretty awesome.

The Easter Bunny sent me to get a pedicure with Lisa.

It was incredible. My toes look like candy!

He also left me an ice cream scoop.

Yummy!

Charlie was really excited to open his grill accessory themed basket. And that was before all the morning candy...

We had a nice little Easter dinner with pork loin and sweet potato casserole and asparagus and salad and stuffing and Boston cream pie.

And ice cream!

Thank you Mr. Easter Bunny! (Bok Bok!)

Oh so much goodness...

My goodness, my goodness.

I just never knew another person could have such a hold on me.

And then I met this sweet face...

Every day I am amazed by her beauty, her feistiness, her sweetness.

And those cheeks - I bite the cheeks a lot!

I have started the ball rolling for my playgroup initiative. I am pretty proud of myself because it isn't really easy approaching women and getting their phone numbers.

I have a new appreciation for how guys feel when they are trying to approach a girl.

But hey, summer is almost here, Farmer's Market will get cranking, and women will be coming out of the woodwork with their little ones. I can't wait to make more friends for Mad. (And Me!)

The family went for a walk out to Fallen Leaf for the first time this year. It was incredible as always.

For those of you who don't know, Charlie and I had our first kiss there, and it was at that place that Charlie proposed to me.

It was special to take our little buddy there. We took a little family photo to commemorate the occasion.

So my ticket is booked to Wisconsin.

I will be leaving on the 12th of April and saying "sayonara!" to the remnants of winter here. I am ready to go ahead and leave it behind for warm sun and bikinis, so Tahoe will be ready for me when I get back around the first of June.

I am just not really interested in watching the snow melt...and there will still be some left when I get back anyway!

Anyway, this will be mine and Mad's first solo plane trip. I am not worried, though, she is a great little traveler. We will visit family in Wisco, and Dad will follow in the car with all the dogs.

After a couple of weeks, we will all start our descent into the South, where we will be visiting family and friends while Charlie fits in some work meetings.

Then we get to go to the Lake house.

Mad and I are super excited about that!

Grandmama already has a tiny life jacket for her and everything! Now all she needs is her own teeny bikini!

Hooray! 23 days til vacay!

My Little Leprechauns

Here they are on St. Patrick's Day.

We were Team GreenHoodie.
Precious.

And here is Madelyn getting ready for her morning coffee stroll. We kick it down the hill for some decaf soy java and a brisk little walk.

She enjoys it as long as we are moving, in fact she sleeps through most of it.

I know she doesn't look convinced that it will be fun.
That is probably because she isn't sure where we are going yet...

After the stroll she pooped something fierce and we went for St. Patrick's Day outfit number 2...

Here is the little angel sleeping in her swing. She has no idea that she is about to go to the doctor and get 3 shots!!!

I am not sure who Charlie should have been holding, me or Mad. She was seriously upset and hasn't quite recovered yet, although she is feeling loads better today.

I thought I might attack the poor sweet nurse.

I have never seen somebody hurt my baby.
I guess I don't take kindly to it.

The doctor could only describe her as, and I quote, "Perfect".

She weighed in at 14 lbs, 11 oz, and is already a rocking tall 25 inches long.

My gorgeous baby.

Love her.

I Heart Saturdays!

I'd like to give a shout out to my Grandpa Tom...

Hiya Grampa.
Mad here...

Here I am in my sweet crib checking out my ladybug mobile.

Sometimes those bugs take me by surprise!

So I am really getting use to hanging around with this lady:

She is pretty cool and she is totally into me which is even cooler. She's always fussing over me and straightening my hair and making my meals.

She thinks I am a pretty big deal.

The big guy says her name is "Mom".

I just call her "aaahhhiiieeee".

She seems to answer to it just the same.

Saturday mornings are my absoloo favorite because Daddy stays in bed with us and we sleep late and play silly games and I get to snuggle him for as long as I want.

Saturdays rule...

Mom will get that black box out and make the funny sounds that make me laugh several times a day to try and get a good shot.

Here is one of our sessions.

She makes really funny sounds for me.

And she kisses me, like, all the time...

Kisses make me happy.

Pretty much any kisses, anytime, anywhere.

I love the sound they make.

And sometimes they tickle.

Speaking of kisses, I get puppy kisses from the little "O".

Here she is playing snow queen at the lake today.

I am pretty sure she didn't really like me first,
but she is starting to come around...

More Smiles...

Apparently, I am pretty hilarious...

Tuesday, March 11, 2008

Not her biggest, but...

still they are her smiles...

soon she will become to understand that smiles and the camera go together...

just like smiles and kisses do.

At 2 months old, she still isn't doing a lot,

but it sure seems that way compared to when she first came home.

Now she spends time in her chair and her swing,
plays with her activity gyms
and sits and plays independently on the floor...

She is cooing and gooing a lot now, talking to me or her mobile or her toys - it is exciting to see her engaging in her little world and trying to get responses from it.

She is just a little person trying to "get" stuff.

And it is a beautiful thing to watch her try.
